Anti-virus Software

No computer that is connected to the internet should ever run without anti-virus software. There are many anti-virus providers out there, so take our recommendation and make your life easier and your computer safer.

Paid software

After years of trying out almost every major version available we highly recommend McAfee® Total Protection™.  Not only do they provide an industry leading detection engine, but the software is very inexpensive.  The software is updated frequently, and you get daily anti-virus signature updates.

Free software

If you cannot afford to get our recommended software you can try out Microsoft Security Essentials as a free alternative.  We haven’t found any free anti-virus software that can adequately replace a good paid version such as McAfee® Total Protection™, but if you need to explore a free alternative this is your best option.  Updates are frequent, and Microsoft created your operating system if you are running any version of Windows, so you can trust them to provide a decent anti-malware solution.
